Summer’s End by John Prine

So another summer has ended. Going to the beach (didn’t), summer evenings cruising your convertible (have one but didn’t, I think it’s illegal), mowing the lawn (several times), baseball, hot dogs, (once, no, too many carbs). Playing my Ovation Balladeer, Glenn Campbell model that I’ve had for over 50 years now. Battle scars, both it and me (mostly my pancreas). Time for fall. Pumpkin spice.
