Day 1: Heart of Vrindavan & Evening Lights ​Morning (7:00 AM – 11:30 AM): ​Banke Bihari Temple: Visit early morning for darshan. (Note: Temple doors close around 12:00 PM for afternoon rest). ​Radha Raman Temple: A short walk from Banke Bihari; famous for its self-manifested deity and tranquil vibe. ​Afternoon (12:00 PM – 4:00 PM): ​Lunch & Rest: Eat sattvic food or local chaat. Most temples remain closed between 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM, so use this time to check into your hotel and avoid the heat. ​Late Afternoon (4:30 PM – 6:30 PM): ​Nidhivan: Sacred forest area where Radha-Krishna are believed to perform Raslila at night (must vacate before sunset). ​ISKCON Temple (Sri Sri Krishna Balaram Mandir): Experience the famous evening Kirtan and Aarti. ​Evening (7:00 PM – 9:00 PM): ​Prem Mandir: Watch the white marble temple illuminate in changing colors and enjoy the musical fountain show.​Morning (7:00 AM – 11:30 AM): ​Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi (Mathura): Take a 25-minute e-rickshaw to Mathura to visit Lord Krishna's birthplace. ​Dwarkadhish Temple & Vishram Ghat: Take a peaceful boat ride on the Yamuna River. ​Afternoon (12:30 PM – 4:30 PM): ​Return to Vrindavan for lunch and rest. ​Visit Rangji Temple (famous for its South Indian Dravidian architecture). ​Evening (5:00 PM – 8:00 PM): ​Keshi Ghat: Attend the mesmerising sunset Yamuna Aarti on the ghats. ​Shopping: Buy Mathura Pedas, brass idols, and deity dresses in the street markets near Banke Bihari lane. ​🍲 What & Where to Eat (Food Guide) ​Vrindavan is strictly vegetarian (mostly no-onion, no-garlic / Sattvic). ​Must-Try Dishes: ​Bedmi Poori & Aloo Sabzi: The classic local breakfast served with tangy pumpkin/potato curry. ​Kachori-Jalebi: Crispy spicy kachori paired with hot, sweet jalebis. ​Thick Clay-pot Lassi & Rabri: Creamy yogurt drink served in a traditional kulhad. ​Mathura Peda: Legendary milk sweet to eat and take home. ​Makhan Mishri: Fresh white butter and sugar crystal mix offered as prasadam. ​Top Eating Spots: ​Govinda’s Restaurant (ISKCON): Pure vegetarian thalis, pizzas, and bakery items. ​Brijwasi Mithai Wala / Brijwasi Sweets: Excellent quality sweets, chaat, and thalis. ​Chaat Gali (near Banke Bihari): Best for Aloo Tikki, Dahi Bhalla, and Golgappas.
