March of the Pest Volunteers for Concert Band (arranged by Adrian Erik Horvath)

Composer: József Müller Arrangement: Adrián Erik Horváth Original Hungarian title: Pesti önkéntesek indulója First publication: Pest, 1848, József Wagner March of the Pest Volunteers (Pesti önkéntesek indulója) was published in Pest in 1848 as the third piece of József Müller’s Négy magyar-hadi induló (Four Hungarian Military Marches), issued by the music publisher József Wagner. In 1848 Müller served as bandmaster of the 62nd Turszky Hungarian Infantry Regiment, whose band was stationed in Pest. Military-music historians Pál Karch and László Marosi connect the march with the flag consecration and departure of the 1st and 2nd Pest-Buda volunteer battalions in the summer of 1848. Marosi also records the alternative title Pesti csatár. Sheet music: https://www.sheetmusicdirect.com/en-U... More sheet music: https://hadrian.hu
