Are Dental Laboratory Schools Dying? I recently came across an article in the Journal of Dental Technology discussing the decline of dental laboratory technology schools across the United States, and it really made me stop and think. As a graduate of a dental laboratory technology program myself, I know firsthand how life-changing that education was. Unfortunately, many of those programs have closed, and fewer students are entering the profession at a time when our industry desperately needs skilled technicians.
