In this video, I weigh the pros and cons of running a bypass valve VS a blow-off valve on my 10th Gen Honda Civic SI before stepping through the full installation of a Boomba Racing bypass valve. After tracking down an issue where the car was thrown into limp mode with a dash full of warning lights, backfiring on high-RPM shifts, and failing to build boost, the underlying culprit behind codes P0035 and P0034 turned out to be a damaged wire at the bypass valve solenoid connector. I walk you through harvesting a replacement pigtail connector from a junkyard, cutting out the failed wiring, and crimping and heat-sealing a new section to completely resolve the circuit fault. Finally, we wrap up with exterior drive-bys and interior cabin sound clips to show off the new turbo noises from the Boomba bypass valve paired up with a PRL cold air intake.
