Today, we’re giving you an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the Penrith Stadium redevelopment... Our Terex Demag CC2800 1600-tonne crawler crane played a key role in the redevelopment of Penrith Stadium, assisting John Holland in the installation of the new eastern grandstand roof. We pre-assembled 172 roof sheets on the ground — each measuring 24 metres in length, with some weighing up to 70 tonnes — before hoisting them into position using the crane. This reduced elevated work, ensuring a safe, efficient and accurate installation. The new welded-beam roof now covers more than half of the seats in the eastern stand and will provide fans with a much better matchday experience. Construction of the eastern grandstand seating has been completed, and work on the western grandstand roof has begun. The redevelopment of Penrith Stadium is proudly funded by the New South Wales Government.
