Three Knobs, Three Charts: Seeing What an Overdrive Pedal Is Doing

Guitarists already know what Drive, Tone, and Level sound like. In this video, I use a Nobels ODR-1 to show what those familiar changes look like in the measurements. Output-versus-input, THD-versus-input, and frequency-response plots reveal how each control affects output level, saturation, and tonal balance—and where those controls interact. The measurements are displayed using DriveViewer and BodeViewer, two Python tools I developed around the QuantAsylum QA403.
