The Regional Meteorological Centre said a low-pressure area has formed over the north Andaman Sea and adjoining areas and may intensify into a depression over the east-central Bay of Bengal tomorrow, followed by a deep depression over the west-central Bay on September 22. The system is likely to reach near the north Andhra Pradesh and south Odisha coasts by the morning of September 23. Under its influence, heavy rain is expected in Odisha from September 22, with rainfall increasing from September 23 and very heavy rain continuing till September 25. A warning has been issued for 26 districts for September 23. Fishermen have been advised to return to the coast by tomorrow and avoid venturing into the sea from September 22 to 24.
