In this video, we dive into Stage 1 of the suspension build on our 2023 20th Anniversary Jeep Wrangler 392! While the factory setup on 35s is great out of the box, adding a Warn 10-S winch and Rock Hard 4x4 / Rockslide Engineering step sliders added extra front-end weight, resulting in noticeable rake and sag. We also wanted to address brake dive, acceleration squat, and dial in our caster and ride geometry while staying close to factory ride height. 🔧 Parts Installed in Stage 1: Clayton Off Road 2.5" Lift Springs (tuned specifically for the 392, including the offset passenger rear spring to eliminate the Jeep lean) Metalcloak Front Adjustable Lower Control Arms (dialing in caster to 5.16°) Metalcloak Pro-Alignment Geometry Drop Brackets Metalcloak Front & Rear Adjustable Track Bars Metalcloak Lower Control Arm Skid Plates Fox 2.0 IFP Hydraulic Bump Stops Clayton Bump Stop Extensions (Front & Rear) Teraflex 2" Shock Extension Brackets (retaining factory shocks for now) ⏱️ Video Chapters: 0:00 – Intro & Stage 1 Build Goals 3:42 – Parts Breakdown & Overview 5:48 – Front Suspension & Fox Bump Stop Install 6:23 – Metalcloak Drop Brackets & Control Arms 7:05 – Rear Springs, Bump Stops & Shock Extensions 7:42 – Installing Skid Plate Armor 8:39 – RTI Ramp Flex Test & Clearance Checks 10:45 – Before & After Stance & Height Measurements 11:49 – 2-Month Daily Driver Review & Final Impressions After 2 months of daily driving, the Jeep sits dead level (+2" front, +1.25" rear), eliminated the front-end dive, and drives remarkably smooth and stable on the highway. Stay tuned for Stage 2 as we dial in full flex and complete the build!
