WALKINSTOWN DUBLIN 1962 COMMUNITIES (Rare Footage)

Rare footage produced from archive reels of the Walkinstown (WSAF) - Walkinstown Sports and Athletic Federation. A new and expanding community came together to celebrate life, social activity and sports. In essence, this is the work of the WSAF for their community in South Dublin from the 1960s. It would later become a model of how community associations should be formed and run throughout Dublin in new urban expanses and nationally in Ireland at the time. This feature was put together in 2023 as a Radio Espial Local Feature Special.
