Gangtok is the capital and largest city of the Indian state of Sikkim, sitting in the eastern Himalayan.
Nathula Pass is a high-altitude Himalayan mountain pass situated at 4,310 meters (14,140 feet) on the India–China border in East Sikkim.
Baba Mandir (Baba Harbhajan Singh Temple) is a revered shrine in East Sikkim dedicated to Sepoy Harbhajan Singh of the 23rd Punjab Regiment, an Indian Army soldier who tragically drowned in a glacier near Nathu La in October 1968. According to military and local folklore, after his death, his spirit guided search parties to his remains in a dream. Troops believe he still guards the border and warns of impending dangers.
