West of England Steam Rally 2026 | 17.8.26

The West of England Steam Rally is a brilliant celebration of engineering from across the years, with an incredible variety of vehicles and machinery on display. From agricultural and commercial vehicles to military machinery and plenty of unusual sights, they are all to be seen throughout the video. But, of course, the real stars of the show are the steam machines. The rally brings together an immense collection of traction engines, steam rollers and other steam-powered vehicles, with some fantastic examples from legendary manufacturers including Burrell, Foden, McLaren, Garrett and many more. Towards the ener of the video, all the steam powered tractors, wagons and rollers line up in the erena, just showing how different they all are, as there are all sorts of shapes and sizes, and all made for lots of different purposes. There’s something rather special about seeing these machines working, steaming and moving together especially when you get up close and hear them doing what they were built to do. Note: due to how long a day it was with me taking the silly decision to use my phone to film, i couldn’t gather everything featured in the rally, but I did my best to film plenty of vehicles before it ran out of charge.
