Ever since I was a kid, I’ve always been a fan of Porsche. Like many enthusiasts, I dreamed about owning a Porsche nine eleven, especially the nine six four and nine nine three. But after spending time with this beautifully preserved 1972 Porsche nine fourteen, I came away with a whole new appreciation for one of Porsche’s most underrated sports cars. In this video, I take a closer look at this rust-free, garage-kept 1972 Porsche 914 powered by its original 1.7-liter air-cooled flat-four engine. From its mid-engine layout and removable Targa roof to its incredible handling and timeless red-on-tan color combination, it’s easy to see why the nine fourteen has earned such a loyal following. This particular car has been exceptionally well maintained, has never been in an accident, and still drives as good as it looks. After getting behind the wheel, I can honestly say I finally understand why so many Porsche enthusiasts love these cars.
