This video serves as the first day of a detailed CFAP 3 Sustainability Reporting and Assurance workshop conducted by Sir Muhammad Ibrahim at IQ School of Finance. The workshop aims to prepare students for the December 2026, March 2027, and June 2027 examination attempts. Workshop Strategy & Resources (0:00 - 12:20) Conceptual Framework: The workshop utilizes a "1,000-mark case study" approach, integrating IFRS S1, IFRS S2, ISSB, ISA 5000, and the Code of Ethics into a cohesive learning experience. Digital Tools: Students have access to the IQSF portal, which contains past workshop recordings (both conceptual and practice-based) and supplemental resources. "Sustainability in Your Pocket": An upcoming interactive tool designed to provide quick access to standard requirements, definitions, and specific guidance related to IFRS S1 and S2 (2:21). Testing System: Students are encouraged to use the internal testing system for practice, emphasizing the importance of consistent engagement with exam-style questions. Core Concepts Discussed (12:21 - 41:00) Scope & Objectives: The session focuses on determining whether specific risks or issues fall under the scope of IFRS S1. The key criteria involve assessing the interaction between an entity and its value chain (stakeholders, society, economy, and environment). Value Chain Analysis: Sir Muhammad explains that sustainability-related risks are not limited to subsidiaries; they encompass all upstream and downstream relationships where an entity has dependency or impact (e.g., suppliers, community, customers). Proportionality Mechanism: An entity is not required to perform an exhaustive search for every possible risk but must use reasonable and supportable information available at the reporting date without undue cost or effort. Practical Application & Case Study (41:01 - 1:02:28) Integrated Case Study: The workshop analyzed a specific scenario involving Nova Fulfillment Limited and Global Wear, demonstrating how to evaluate whether risks (such as labor issues at a supplier or community concerns near a factory) should be disclosed in sustainability reports. Future Sessions: The workshop will continue with deep dives into risk management processes, climate scenario building, and resilience assessment, providing practical Excel-based templates and live demonstrations to help students identify and prioritize risks. 📲 Join the WhatsApp Group for Admissions & Updates: https://chat.whatsapp.com/HMV6RSDjSlD... #CFAP3 #SustainabilityReporting #SustainabilityAssurance #CFAPWorkshop #WorkshopDay1 #December2026Attempt #March2027Attempt #June2027Attempt #SirMuhammadIbrahim #ICAP #CAStudents #IQSF #IQSchoolOfFinance
