MMSA September Webinar: An Update on the Good Samaritan Program and the AML Summit

This presentation will provide an update on the implementation of the Good Samaritan Remediation of Abandoned Hardrock Mines Act of 2024 and key outcomes of the 2026 MMSA Abandoned Mine Lands (AML) Summit. Linda will discuss lessons learned from the first Good Samaritan projects as they navigate the new permitting process, including a case study of the first project permitted under the Act. She will highlight challenges, successes, and early insights that may inform future Good Samaritan efforts. The presentation will also summarize major themes, discussions, and outcomes from the 2026 MMSA AML Summit.
