Gia Tan RMS The first time I got to know Laur was when I first tried playing rhythm game, which was Robeats on Roblox. He was known for making finger-wrecking songs that can absolutely destroy our fingers, but surprisingly he also composes piano tracks that conveys different emotions. I listened through all of them and honestly I love all of them. From the heart-touching "You're my irreplaceable treasure" to the dramatic, melancholic "Despair", both have their own that would cling to you once you listen. Today I gave you the transcription of the song "Despair", arguably one of his hardest piano tracks. This caused me so much suffering lol. I started this project back in September 2025. I was so enthusiastic and pushed myself halfway through until I stumbled upon the biggest obstacle, which is the middle section at 2:38. The speed change, complex beat and large stream of notes made me temporary put this project aside, until recently I decided to give it a try again. Luckily I finally understood and made it through that section. Having transcripted the whole track made me realise just how talented Laur is lol, being able to compose tracks of such opposing genres.
