Stronger Together Against HIV: Addressing Aging With HIV

The National Hispanic Medical Association (NHMA), in partnership with the National Coalition of STD Directors (NCSD), presents a webinar exploring the intersection of HIV and aging. As more people with HIV live longer, healthcare providers and public health professionals must understand the evolving needs of people aging with HIV. This webinar brings together two complementary perspectives: • Geriatric care: How aging and age-related conditions can influence HIV care and health outcomes • HIV disease intervention: How chronic HIV infection and its effects on the immune system may influence the aging process Participants will learn about current challenges, evidence-based approaches and opportunities to improve health outcomes and quality of life for people aging with HIV.
