Testing Radioactive Materials in the Cloud Chamber

Today we're testing radioactive materials inside the cloud chamber! Many of you requested americium-241 from a smoke alarm, but I will also test radium-226 and uranium-238. The cloud chamber works by cooling an aluminium plate to negative 30 celcius with thermoelectric coolers and using 99% isopropanol to form a supersaturated alcohol vapor.
