All Moons Speedrun for WR

today's the day guys I swear I'm dual streaming to Twitch and YouTube! I'll be more responsive to Twitch chat, so if you'd like messages to appear on stream, feel free to watch there. Short FAQ, please ask other questions in chat! Q: Why are you doing so many random cap throws/jumps? A: Throughout the run you need to perform 5000 cap throws and 10000 jumps, so it's important to collect them. Cap throws are slower to perform, so they're generally higher-priority. Q: How many moons are there in the game? What does an All Moons speedrun entail? A: The requirement for All Moons is to collect 880 moons without purchasing any repeat shopping moons so that you can unlock and defeat the final bonus Bowser fight. Q: Are you allowed to take breaks? A: Yes, throughout the run, you're allowed to take 15m of break time per 2 hours of the speedrun. Typically, I don't need all of my allotted 45 minutes, but I'll some depending on how I feel throughout the run. Q: Why not run 100% instead of All Moons? What are the differences? A: 100% is a cool category, but it has around an hour of tedious coin grinding integrated into the run which makes it inaccessible to do consistently. In 100%, you're required to purchase everything from the shop (excluding DLC outfits), collect every music track, and collect every moon. Practically, this means that you're collecting more purple coins and buying everything from the purple coin shops as well as doing the aforementioned coin grind for the yellow coin outfits. Q: Why aren't you playing in English? A: Traditional Chinese is the language with the fastest-scrolling text for Odyssey, and I've memorized all of the required language checks in the run. #SuperMarioOdyssey #NintendoSwitch #NintendoSwitch2 #mario #luigi #yoshi #speedrun #100% #AllMoons #magictricksvideos #completionist #tutorial #guide #sleep #sleepsounds #sleepaid #sleepmusic #cappy #nintendo #supermario #gaming
