The fifth verse lesson from Mark Forsyth. I fluffed the Charge of the Light Brigade ('and' not 'or'), but I couldn't be bothered to re-record the whole thing. The rules of the Double Dactyl are:
8 lines.
Each line is two dactyls - TUM-te-te TUM-te-te
First line is nonsense words.
Second line is somebody's name
Seventh line is one word.
Fourth and eighth lines rhyme, and you can cut off the last two syllables if you like.
Spronketty clonketty,
William Shakespeare was
Writing a tragedy
Up in his room;
Writing on how it was
Dirty Mark Antony
Egyptosexually
Met with his doom.
