4 1/4 hours T4 level tour from Lidernenhütte up to Fulen and down over Rossstocklücke to Biel, 9.4 km, 824 m up, 932 m down. This hike involves real scrambling and is only for experienced hikers with no vertigo problems. The weather started looking rather unpromising. Even though the forecast said sunny-cloudy, thick dark clouds hung on the peaks of Chaiserstock, Fulen and Rossstock, you couldn't see them. I took my time hiking up, on the chance that the clouds would lift, because I'm not much interested in peaks if there is no view. By the time I made it up to Liderner Plänggeli, the clouds had dispersed and granted me a look at the peaks, lucky! I hiked on, and when I reached the top of Fulen, the clouds were back a little, went away again, came back... It was quite an atmospheric scenery. Going up Fulen wasn't totally nerve wracking. The path was gravelly on steep flanks, that wasn't too reassuring, but easy enough. On the way down from Rossstocklücke things were more challenging and involved actual climbing, very steep, but going step by step and grip by grip carefully, it was fine. I met some hikers on the way up, not a single one on the way down. All in all a challenging tour, with wonderful views, when the clouds allowed.
