From Homeless Camp to Campground Restoring an Abandoned Ranch One Project at a Time

We’re tackling another project at Buckhorn Ranch! This time, we took on the area around the old butcher house that appeared to have been used as a homeless camp. There was a LOT to clean up, but we decided to turn this neglected space into a camping spot for our family and future guests. Of course, we didn’t do it alone… Flowers the goat followed us around practically the entire time. 😂🐐 And because life with four kids never slows down, we somehow managed to fit all of this into ONE day — cleaning up the ranch, running to volleyball games, football practices, and student-teacher conferences… then coming back to finish the project. And what better way to end a long day of hard work than S’mores, a campfire, and some fun with all the Buckhorn Boys! 🔥🍫 This is just one more step in restoring our abandoned ranch and turning Buckhorn Ranch into something our whole family can enjoy for years to come. One project at a time. One day at a time. Welcome to Buckhorn Ranch. 🤎 Do Hard Things!
