RESTORATIVE PREGNANCY YOGA | DE-STRESS, GENTLE MOVEMENT & DEEP REST
Feeling heavy, tense, tired or overwhelmed during pregnancy?
As your pregnancy progresses, your body is continually adapting. You may feel physically less mobile, notice tension building through your body, or simply find that you need more opportunities to slow down and rest.
In this restorative pregnancy yoga class, Kelly combines gentle movement, mindful breathing and supported yoga postures to encourage comfortable movement, circulation and relaxation.
Originally created around the theme of "de-stress and detoxify", this practice isn't suggesting that yoga removes toxins from your body. Instead, gentle movement and breathing can support normal movement, circulation, digestion and respiratory function whilst giving you some much-needed time to pause.
There is no need to push, stretch deeply or achieve a particular yoga position. This is an opportunity to move in a way that feels supportive for your pregnant body.
IN THIS PRACTICE
🌿 Gentle restorative pregnancy yoga.
💛 Mindful breathing and slower movement.
✨ Movement to encourage comfortable mobility and circulation.
🌸 Gentle movement through areas that may feel stiff or tense.
🤍 Opportunities to slow down and rest.
🌿 Awareness of your changing pregnant body.
💜 Time to reconnect with yourself and your baby, if that feels comfortable for you.

HOW TO USE THIS PRACTICE
Have cushions, pillows or blankets nearby so you can adapt positions and comfortably support your changing body.
Move within a range that feels right for you. Pregnancy yoga isn't about maintaining your pre-pregnancy flexibility or pushing further into a stretch.
Take breaks whenever you need them and change position if something becomes uncomfortable.
You can return to this class whenever you would benefit from gentle movement, breathing and rest during pregnancy.

SAFE CLINICAL GUIDANCE
For most uncomplicated pregnancies, appropriately modified physical activity can form part of a healthy pregnancy. However, individual circumstances vary.
Yoga should feel comfortable. Avoid forcing stretches, holding your breath or remaining in positions that make you feel unwell.
As pregnancy progresses, prolonged flat-on-your-back positions may become uncomfortable for some women. Change position or use cushions and support if you feel dizzy, nauseous, breathless or unwell.
Stop exercising and seek appropriate maternity or medical advice if you experience concerning symptoms such as vaginal bleeding, leaking fluid, regular painful contractions, chest pain, significant breathlessness, dizziness, severe pain or reduced fetal movements where applicable.
If you have been advised to modify or restrict exercise during pregnancy, follow the individual guidance provided by your maternity healthcare team.
This practice supports general pregnancy wellbeing and does not replace individual maternity or medical care.
