How to Qualify for the Dakar Rally as an Amateur: Selection Process & Full Plan

I'm Tim Zijlstra, an amateur rider aiming for the Dakar Rally. In this video I explain how the selection process works, how the point system adds up, and how I've planned the road there: races, dates and the Original by Motul class, plus the positives and the potential problems. I never said it was a good plan, but without one a dream like this never becomes reality. This is the plan as it stands today, and I'll update it as things change. 0:00 Introduction 0:26 Selection process 0:52 Step 1 - Qualification 1:12 Step 2 - Point system 2:41 Step 3 - Selection 3:07 Dates 3:46 Planning criteria 3:58 Qualification race 4:13 Planning 6:54 Original by Motul 8:02 Positives / potential problems 9:40 Ending Follow the journey on Instagram: @timtodakar #RoadToDakar #DakarRally #RallyRaid
