A wave from the cab of a passing train always makes a grey day brighter. So it was this day. (Thank you) CPKC-CP7611 is leading CP9732 at the head of a long string of tank cars with varied contents headed west to the railyards of greater Vancouver, BC. Most are petroleum products, but the WHMIS placards show there are other corrosive, flammable and generally nasty products on the move. KCSM4903 is the tail power. The action is caught just west of the Squilax-Turtle Valley Road grade crossing located at Mile 87.2 of the CPKC Shuswap Subdivision at Squilax, British Columbia, Canada. If you go to Google, select Maps and paste in 50°51'50.1"N 119°34'59.0"W you'll see the location of the camera for this video. Technical: Recorded with a Canon XA55 4KHD Pro video camera at 1920x1080 resolution and 60 frames per second. It is equipped with an Azden SMX-10 Stereo Microphone mounted inside a Rode Blimp Windshield. A Neewer NW74K 7-Inch 1920x1080 Field Monitor is also used. All equipment is mounted on a custom Neewer camera cage attached to a Neewer Pro Heavy Duty NP74 Tripod using a NEEWER GM006 Pro Video Fluid Head.
