🔹 In this lecture (Lecture 4), we cover the Economic Operation of Thermal Power Plants and Optimal Power Flow (OPF): • Fuel-cost and incremental-cost characteristics of thermal units. • Solving Economic Dispatch without transmission losses and applying generator limits. • The Lambda-iteration method and including transmission losses using penalty factors. • Distinguishing between Load Flow, Economic Dispatch, DC-OPF, and AC-OPF. • Formulating the objective function, equality, and inequality constraints of OPF. • Solving network-constrained DC-OPF problems step by step (Three-bus and Four-bus systems). 📌 Playlist Notes: Lectures 1 & 2 are not included in this playlist as they were purely introductory.
