From N64 Magazine's Skill Club 64 I am taking on the tough task of racing through Banjo-Kazooie in under 5 and a half hours! Picking it up at 4:24:12 with 12 Jiggies and 100 Notes to go! 1st Attempt: 7:14:54 96 Jiggies 831 Notes Now that I have had a run through of the game to familiarise myself with everything again, will I be able to get the time on my 2nd crack? I am not really a fan of Speed Running single player games, i much prefer to take my time and soak in the lore and world building, but perhaps I can do both? __________ 🗺️ World Progression & Seasons (Click Clock Wood) 0:00:00 – Stream Start: 1 Hour 6 Min on the Clock & Final Challenge Setup 0:02:40 – Unlocking the Click Clock Wood Door & Lair Puzzle 0:03:30 – Click Clock Wood: Spring (Planting the Seed & Meeting Eyrie the Eagle) 0:12:40 – Click Clock Wood: Summer (Feeding Eyrie Caterpillars & Gobi's Water) 0:29:10 – Click Clock Wood: Autumn (Flooding Nabnut's House & Eyrie Grows Up) 0:38:50 – Gathering Acorns for Nabnut the Squirrel 0:45:30 – Click Clock Wood: Winter (Frozen Lake, Snowmen & Final Flight) 0:51:00 – Final Time Check, Challenge Wrap-Up & Attempt 3 Announcement 🎮 Gameplay Highlights & Close Calls 0:06:40 – "It's like finals football... you get punished for every minor mistake" 0:10:45 – Surviving a massive fall from the canopy straight into the water 0:20:45 – Summer Beehive fight & gold feather management 0:44:45 – The run-ending death at 24 Mumbo Tokens resetting all 100 musical notes 0:47:10 – "Couldn't hit the backside of a barn" – Air-egg precision struggle with Sir Slush snowmen 😂 Banter & Commentary Highlights 0:05:05 – Egg Plant Theory: "Does putting eggs in the soil and growing something make it an eggplant?" 0:11:02 – The Video Game Physics Rule: As long as you land in water or forward-roll like Link in Zelda, you take zero damage 0:31:00 – Gnawty the Beaver moving across games from Donkey Kong Island to Banjo's world 0:39:40 – Nabnut having acorns inside his own house: "He's too lazy to get his own nuts, give yourself an uppercut" 0:42:25 – Rareware Doctor Who crossover: The theory that Banjo's backpack is actually a TARDIS 0:46:13 – Trapped Under Ice: Metallica reference while eyeing the frozen honeycomb piece __________________ #Banjo #Kazooie #BK #BanjoKazooie #DKR #Nintendo64 #Diddy #Krunch #Bumper #Tricky #CRT #Games #Rareware #N64 #DK #Rare #1998 #Game #Speed #Run #DoneSlow #DoneFast
