An Aerial Look at BNSF & Amtrak in Fort Madison, Iowa

I spent an day railfanning in Fort Madison, Iowa along the Mississippi River in early July 2023. Fort Madison is best known for its double track swing bridge across the Mississippi River and more recently for the presence of a Virtual Railfan live streaming camera in town. While I was there, I was able to see a variety of BNSF freight trains, Amtrak’s Southwest Chief, and the bridge open for a tug boat traveling upstream. Check Out My Social Media Pages!
