Blacktail bucks led the cards — but elk owned this pull. Most of it is elk cows passing the camera, then the bull following through in the next clip. One good cougar clip in the mix too.
Raw and unedited, straight off the cameras in the Umpqua National Forest.
This is a field log, not a highlight reel. What you see is trail cam footage from southern Oregon Cascades country, documented as it came off the cards — so you can see what actually moves through this terrain when nobody's around.
🐾 Species in this log:
• Blacktail bucks
• Roosevelt elk — cows working past the camera, the bull trailing behind (big bull close-up on the night card, [timestamp])
• Cougar (mountain lion)
🌲 Location: Umpqua National Forest, southern Oregon Cascades
📷 Cameras: Gardepro E8 2.0 and Gardepro A60, located near the Rogue-Umpqua Divide.
The Cascades Wildlife Archive is a digital field journal documenting the wildlife of the Pacific Northwest, one trail camera at a time. New field logs go up as the cameras come out of the woods.
Which one do you want more of — the elk, the bucks, or the cats? Tell me in the comments.
