Pizza Tower in Mayo's Mind: https://gamebanana.com/mods/564465 Modloader+:   / discord   Fake Peppino and his lap music are from Chef's Kiss: https://pizza-tower-chefs-kiss.itch.i... No diss of the CK team, but this port of Fake Peppino for Modloader+ is dogshit, literally made in like 10minutes and makes a fuck ton of levels impossible to P Rank unless you stop every 10 seconds of running, especially these harder levels. And on top of it, Lights Out is a reeeaallly bad level, with a lotta interesting ideas. If there's any level that needs rework, it's this one. Ever since I first played PT I didn't seem to grow attached to Fake Peppino in any way. I thought he was a neat addition to roster but generally stayed away from him since he was just another bland faker form that every single franchise has. The other characters seemed more interesting to explore and branch out while Fake Peppino always seemed really simple to what he was, so his creepiness factor fizzled out for me quickly. The only redeeming quality I saw was the fan name "Pseudough", and aside from that I dreaded redoing his boss fight and P ranking it from how slow and boring it was. Scoutdigo further reinforced my hatred for Fake Peppinos with their Heat Meter clones that were a gauranteed combo loss the moment they picked you up. The fandom instead LOVED him, showering him in fan videos and art and media, which didn't interest me. Fanmods were at most just Peppino reskins with maybe a variable change or extra move, which were bottom of the barrel for me as well. Chef's Kiss' Pseudough at least gave him new moves and changed his playstyle, though I wasn't interested in him since a overpowered busted character that is created to blitz through levels without engaging in them never was interesting to me. He could fly, sure, but every other character could as well, and the fact he didn't have a way to stop on a dime further ruined the character for me. This level, Mayo's "Lights Out" was always the worst out of the 4 for me, but with Faker it made it absolutely abhorent to play, the fact it was designed all around Peppino, along with the shabby port of Fake Peppi for Modloader+ made trying to P rank it hellish. Certain sections were impossible and needed to be changed just enough for Pseudough to have a slight chance of getting past it, and others had their platforms extended considering the ludicrous speeds that he gains and has to maintain to remain in Mach 4. And on top of all of that, sometimes interacting with gift box launchers just... didn't work. It sends you flying up, then for no reason Pseudough decides to just swap to trying to superjump downwards. I still don't get why they give him this ability, it made sense in his bossfight but during gameplay cieling running and inverse superjumps just become a detrement, especially since you can play Pseudough just like you would with Peppino, and his real strength comes from the leapfrog ability. This, along with Playable Cherry's Mansion level's Fake Peppino chaser makes me LOATHE the character. People who enjoy playing him are unironically posers who refuse to engage with anything past surface-level of the franchise. And I do mean FRANCHISE, as art of him, videos, comics and other depictions also really just focus on the same thing, him being a ugly amalgam trying to find what his purpose is after the tower crumbles. There's no depth to him, to his gameplay, and he was made to be an ugly posterboy for lil kiddies that want to feel like loremasters, the same ones yapping about "If you taunt 3 times in front of Doise's gate...!". The game's already 3 years old, and I'm sure other franchises have their own Pseudough, so I'm gonna just leave this vent here and never talk about him again.
