Trans Pennine 802201 Passes Springs Branch – 28th June 2026

Trans Pennine Express Nova 1 Class 802 Hitachi unit 802201 speeds north along the west coast main line and through Springs Branch south of Wigan on the afternoon of Sunday 28th June 2026. The five car unit was working one of the usual Manchester Airport to Edinburgh Waverley diagrams which usually run via Bolton but today via Wigan due to line closure and engineering works between Bolton and Manchester. The 802s for me probably the best of the class 800 series trains in the UK.
