DLSS 5 & ReShade Make 'Assassin's Creed' Look Like a Remaster

Despite what some YouTubers told you, DLSS 5 is actually very impressive. One of the coolest things the modded version of this tech can do is breathe new life into old games. In this video, I showcase the miraculous effect DLSS 5 has on 'Assassin's Creed' - a beloved classic from 2007 and one of my favorite games ever. DLSS 5 drastically improves the lighting, ambient occlusion, shadows, character faces as well as materials. Once I've seen it in action, I don't think I could ever go back to playing the vanilla version of 'Assassin's Creed'. NOTE: AC1 is a 32 bit DX9 game from 2007! It doesn't even support normal DLSS. Injecting DLSS 5 neural rendering required some trickery involving dgVoodoo and DLSS 5 Feeder. If you notice slight blurriness on faces or objects in some scenes, it's not the fault of DLSS 5 itself. The clips were shot using an older version of DLSS 5 Feeder which tanked performance way more than the current version. So to achieve constant 60 fps I had to scale down the resolution DLSS 5 was working on to about 60%. This resulted in a smooth 60 fps gameplay, but introduced some blurriness in some scenes. Once this tech and the mods get refined, I'm sure this will be ironed out and a year from now DLSS 5 will be looking even better, more efficiently and with lower impact on performance.
