The Dorset Fishing Weekend – Abbotsbury, Nothe Fort & Weymouth

A weekend of fishing around Dorset, from Friday evening through to Sunday morning — trying a bit of everything and making the most of every session. Friday evening started at Abbotsbury, before a full day of bait fishing on Saturday. Unfortunately, the bait fishing produced nothing, but Saturday evening came alive when I switched to the lures and found a few mackerel and scad. Sunday morning took me onto the rocks around Nothe Fort, where I managed a lovely Ballan wrasse, before finishing the weekend with some XUL fishing in Weymouth Harbour.
