The realms and maps of Dead by Daylight are crucial to the overall enjoyment of the game. If there are certain maps or tiles that are unbalanced, players on one side or the other are suffering and not having a good time. If the maps are detailed yet balanced, then not many complaints should be found (but its DBD - there's always someone complaining about something). There's always stuff worth discussing about DBD's maps, but I thought I'd dive into one of the most overlooked aspects about them: The Edge. This topic was inspired by some recent survivor matches in which "the edge" of some maps became an unexpected determining factor in how some chases played out. I hope this video encourages more edge-map plays. I find it really flexes the survivor looping and "mind game" muscles. Background music/OST that was used in order of appearance: "White Noise (Actual Noise)" from Silent Hill 2 (2024) "Respite" from Resident Evil Requiem (2026) "R.P.D. Hall" from Resident Evil 2 (2019)
