King of Desaru 2026 (EMTB) | FRACTURED RIBS | Adrenaline Trap

​Riding 35km through rough trail after a crash after the start was one of the toughest mental and physical battles I’ve ever faced—turns out adrenaline was masking 4 fractured ribs! ​First and foremost, a huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped me along the race journey: ​The incredible cousin-in-law, bro Epul and the event medic team for taking care of my scrapes and assessing me right after I crossed the line. ​My fellow riders who checked in, offered support, and lent a helping hand after the race—you know who you are, and I am deeply grateful for your sportsmanship and kindness! ​A big shoutout to the organisers and crew of King of Desaru for putting on such a well-run, memorable event and for all their support throughout the day. ​And most importantly, my amazing wife—the real hero of the day. From driving the entire way back home to Singapore while I was in agony, to taking over handling the bike, I wouldn't have made it back safely without her. ❤️ ​Lastly, thank you to all my friends, family, and community for the overwhelming get-well wishes and encouragement.
