Thank God First This Morning 🙏 | Powerful Morning Prayer to Start Your Day With God Before Anything

Before the phone. Before the news. Before the first demand of your day reaches you. Put God first this morning, and let Him speak blessing over you before anything else gets the chance to. This prayer opens differently than most. It doesn't wait to build up slowly before speaking life over you — it starts right there, in the very first moment, declaring favor, peace, provision, and protection over your life simply because you chose to put God first today instead of everything else fighting for that position. If you've been running on empty, starting every morning already behind, already reaching for your phone before you've reached for prayer, let this be the morning that pattern breaks. This prayer stands on two promises that have carried me through more mornings than I can count. The first is Matthew 6:33 — seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Not taken from you. Not ignored. Added, as an overflow of putting the right thing first. The second is Psalm 5:3 — in the morning, Lord, You hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before You and wait expectantly. Prayer isn't an interruption to your morning. It's an appointment already set, waiting for you to show up. This prayer was made for the one who wakes up with their mind already racing through everything they have to do before they've even said good morning to God. For the parent getting kids ready while running on empty. For the one sitting in a car in a parking lot before a shift that already feels too heavy. For the one who has quietly felt the guilt of always putting God last, telling themselves they'll make up for it later, that a quick prayer in traffic will be enough. It never quite feels like enough, does it? This morning, it can be different. You don't need the right words, a clear head, or a fully rested heart for this prayer to be true over your life today. You only need to be willing to put Him first, even for these next twenty minutes, and let that decision shape the hours that follow. Let this be the morning you remember choosing differently — not because your circumstances have already changed, but because you decided, before anything else, that God comes first.
