Nightfall (Skymningstimman) by Maria Trolle [SUB] / Page 16

When coloring the background, I thought of space, with its infinite expanses, stars, and star clusters. As I often do, I scraped pigments from pastels with a scalpel and applied them to the paper. The more colors, the more vibrant the motif. I colored the girl and the sunflower with Prismacolor colored pencils. For the pollen, I used water-based pigments from Gansai Tambi's Opal Colors range. Finally, I added stars and star clusters with Sakura gel pens from the Moonlight Flourescent range. Doreen.
