Hide’em, Seek’em, Almost Complete’em | Duke Nukem Hide’em and Seek’em Map Discovery

Sorry for missing last week’s upload! Work got a little hectic and I just didn’t have time to get a video ready, but we’re back this week with Duke Nukem Hide’em and Seek’em by MadMikael. This map is based on the first level of Duke Nukem, which I’ll admit right away: I’ve never actually played. Thankfully, Karma’s Evil Twin and a few others were able to confirm that the map does a pretty good job recreating the original game’s layout and feel. Even without the nostalgia factor, I had a great time searching through this one. The map had over 60 hiding spots, and we managed to find 55 of them before calling it. It also had a really fun terrain manipulation gimmick, with explosions going off throughout the run and occasionally opening up new areas to explore. That made the search feel a little more unpredictable, because sometimes the map itself changed while we were still trying to figure out where to look next. Overall, this was a really fun map with a cool theme, a neat mechanic, and plenty of spots to hunt down.
