Locking Horns: Is "Throw the Records Out" Just an Excuse?

#Texas #Football #BreakingNews #Recruiting Amanda Atwell, Bobby Burton and CJ Vogel debate whether “throw the records out” is legitimate rivalry wisdom—or simply an excuse for the better team underperforming. Oklahoma’s defense presents a serious challenge, but its offense lacks explosive playmakers and has repeatedly produced catastrophic mistakes. The panel explains why turnovers or a special-teams disaster may be the Sooners’ only realistic path to victory. Should Steve Sarkisian trust Arch Manning to attack, or lean on Texas’ elite defense and minimize risk? Bobby makes the case for Hollywood Smothers becoming the game’s biggest difference-maker, while CJ argues Colin Simmons will overwhelm Oklahoma’s struggling offensive line. Plus, the crew identifies the physicality, rushing success and ball security Texas must bring to reclaim the Golden Hat.
