The Wee Little Book of Teacher Workload - crowdfunder launch!

So Helen and Brian are writing a book. A Wee Little Book, detailing all the rights and entitlements teachers have about workload in Northern Ireland. This is a pocket-sized powerhouse of information, allowing teachers (and school leaders) to see what should be happening about teacher workload in a simple and fully referenced guide. Everything in it will be checked and counter-checked to ensure that what we say is contractually solid, so you can rely on the information in the Wee Little Book. To get this project printed and away to teachers, we need to raise the funds through a crowdfunder campaign. This allows you to order one (or many) copies of the Wee Little Book, along with some other treats if you want, and once we've raised the target we can print and dispatch the books to you. An initial print run of 500 copies will cost almost £1000, so with postage and packing getting a copy from our kitchen table to your hallway mat costs nearly £5. Helen and I just can't afford that kind of initial outlay, which is why we're depending on a crowdfunder to get this project off the ground. In exchange for your support you get a super-distilled and super-clear outline of all the information you need to keep an eye on your workload this year, to help ensure you're staying within the safe and agreed contractual rules. If just a sixth of our supporters each pledged a fiver we would be ready to print by the end of next week, and around the country teachers will be getting better educated and better equipped to stand up to excessive, unfair and non-contractual workload demands this coming year.
