MHFU - Monster Hunter Quest (Final Village quest) - High Rank gear (SnS Sleep bombing)

Note: For some reason when i was recording OBS decided to record my PC mic as well as the game music. Hence there are a few parts I had to edit the sound out. If you think you can hear someone speaking during the quest, its probably just me swearing from being hit... The monster hunter quest is the notoriously tough final village quest, unlocked after completing all the other Nekoht quests. It features Rathalos, Tigrex, Nargacuga and Rajang back to back in an epic hunt. Despite the quest being available at high rank village (you can actually unlock it at HR1 if you never touch the gathering hall) all the monsters are G-level. In the account I'm currently playing though I wanted to complete the quest before hitting G-level in the gathering hall. The set I'm using (shown at the end) is the Chaoshroom Helmet, Ceanataur U body and arms and Akantor Waist and Legs. Gemmed it gives Sharpness+1, Abnormal Status up, Bomber and Reckless Abandon + 1. The basic idea is (obviously) to put the monsters to sleep and bomb them away. Using the alchemy guide I can get 25 Large Barrel Bombs and the felyne whim skill 'Felyne Gunpowder' turns these into LBB+s. I actually didn't need to bring scatterfish but only realised afterwards. Anyway the first hit on a sleeping monster deals 3x damage so its fairly effective despite me only using high rank gear. This could be done quicker with flashes and traps but I wanted to go without those. Unfortunately this does makes Rathalos take much longer, he's a particularly bad matchup with SnS in my experience. Only using high rank gear also means often I'll either be a one shot, or at the least take heavy damage from really any attack. Rathalos' insta charge I really had to be careful around. Once him and Tiggy are done the quest does get easier. Narga gives plenty of chances to get hits in, and Rajang isn't too bad either, though the spin can one shot in my armor. All in all its a fun but difficult quest that I recommend everyone give a shot!
