🐦❄️ A FRESH AUTUMN MORNING WITH MY ROSEICOLLIS AGAPORNIS Good morning from the aviary. It is a fresh autumn morning, with temperatures around 10°C. The Roseicollis Agapornis are already very active, highly vocal, cheerful, and full of energy. The entire flock is well fed, alert, and in excellent physical condition. Living in outdoor conditions, the birds are now gradually adapting to the cooler temperatures as autumn progresses and winter approaches. For birds maintained outdoors, gradual acclimatization to seasonal temperature changes is an important natural process. Birds that have become accustomed to cooler outdoor conditions can develop a greater tolerance to cold compared with birds that are kept continuously in warm and stable indoor environments. As temperatures gradually decrease, the birds naturally adapt through changes in their behavior and seasonal plumage. Their feathers provide effective insulation by trapping warm air close to the body, helping them maintain body temperature during colder weather. The transition toward winter should always be gradual and natural. Healthy, properly acclimatized birds should have access to adequate nutrition, fresh drinking water, suitable shelter, and protection from severe weather, strong winds, and excessive moisture. At this time of year, the flock is slowly preparing for the coming winter. Their behavior, appetite, activity levels, and overall physical condition are carefully observed throughout the seasonal transition. Natural seasonal cycles are also an important part of responsible aviculture. After winter comes spring, when the birds enter another important stage of their annual biological cycle. In previous seasons, my outdoor-acclimatized Roseicollis Agapornis have successfully reproduced. The objective is not to expose the birds to extreme cold, but to allow them to experience a gradual and natural seasonal transition while maintaining excellent care and appropriate environmental conditions. A fresh autumn morning, a healthy and active flock, and another beautiful step in their natural preparation for winter. 🐦🌿❄️ Roseicollis Agapornis — Outdoor Aviary • Natural Seasonal Adaptation • Responsible Aviculture
