30 Hints Ron and Hermione Were Always Endgame (Harry Potter Books Only)

In Half-Blood Prince, Hermione smells a love potion and starts listing what she smells: freshly mown grass, new parchment, and… She stops. She turns pink. She never finishes the sentence. Years later, J.K. Rowling revealed the third smell. Then in 2014 she called Ron and Hermione “a form of wish fulfilment.” So who do you believe: the author's second thoughts, or the books she actually wrote? Here are 30 romantic moments, counted in order and all from the books: the jealousy, the blushing, the dented desk, the canaries, the perfume, and finally the kiss. Plus the honest case against Romione, and the film-only scenes that never happened.
