Sometimes life gives you a lesson before you even realize you were being protected. I was driving from one event to another when I realized I had forgotten my wallet, my phone wasn’t working, and my car was almost out of gas. I stopped at Wawa, unsure of what I was going to do. And then, an employee simply stepped up and offered me cash to pay for my gas. A complete stranger helping me when I needed it most. An angel in human form. 🤍 But within 10 minutes of leaving the gas station, I encountered something completely different. A car came speeding from a side road and suddenly entered my lane, driving as though the road were a racetrack. For those few seconds, it felt like I was watching something that could have ended very differently. I don’t know if the driver was distracted, impaired, reckless, or simply driving dangerously—but if my reaction had been even a second slower, the outcome could have been devastating. And all I could think afterward was… Was I being protected? Within ten minutes, I had experienced what felt like meeting an angel and a devil. One stranger reminded me of the goodness that exists in people. Another moment reminded me how fragile life can be. I truly felt that my guides, the universe, God—whatever name we give to that greater force—were somehow protecting me from what was coming. Maybe it simply wasn’t my time yet. This experience left me with some profound lessons about life, intuition, gratitude, protection, and the thin line between an ordinary moment and a life-changing one. So this week’s Philosophy of the Week is a little longer than usual. I had to tell you the story first to arrive at the philosophy behind it. If you stay until the end, thank you. 🤍 Thank you for listening, for staying with me, and for secondhand witnessing these little episodes of my life as I share what they teach me along the way. And most importantly—thank you for your love and support. 🫶 Sometimes the lesson isn’t in what happened. It’s in what didn’t happen.
