I’m starting over. Skateboarding in my 50s.

I'm in my early 50s and I've come back to skateboarding after about a decade away. I'm stoked to be back on the board. But here's the thing. I am not interested in getting back what I had as a younger skater. I've loved skateboarding since I started in the late 80s, and I've had a bunch of rad times on the skateboard, but my skating itself has never actually been that good. And that's because I've been limited by stuff that I just couldn't figure out how to fix, and stuff that I didn't even know I needed to fix. So I'm seeing my return to skateboarding as a chance to fix those things, learn new things, and unlock areas of skateboarding that have long been out of reach for me. I mean, who knows, in my 50s I might end up being better at skating than I was in my 20s. I don't know. Either way, I want to share my journey with you because I'm hoping that by watching me, you'll be inspired to dust off your old board and get out there and ride and come learn along with me and at the very least, be entertained by my struggles. For now though, come along on this mini adventure with me and Joey around my home town.
