"Come quickly, I am tasting the stars!" All about Sula Vineyard: Sula Vineyards (or "Sula") is a winery and vineyard located in the Nashik region of western India, 180 km northeast of Mumbai. It was founded by Rajeev Samant in 1999. Sula has grown to be India’s largest and most awarded wine brand. Sula introduced grape varietals such as Chenin blanc, Sauvignon blanc, Riesling and Zinfandel in India and is the leading player in the Indian wine industry. The name "Sula" was derived from his mother's name, 'Sulabha'. This was a wine that took pride in being Indian, being the first company in the country to use an Indian logo. Sula has become one of the world's most sustainable wineries, with over 2MW of installed solar PV capacity covering more than 60 per cent of our annual energy needs. In 2019, Sula Vineyards became the first Asian Winery (excluding China) to sell 1 million cases Of domestically produced wine in a 12-month period. Ticket Pricing: Weekends - Rs. 1000 per person Weekdays - Rs. 600 per person Please note - these are not entry charges. You can use this inside the vineyard to buy wine tasting & guided tour tickets, Eat at the restaurants, Buy gifts, Buying wines. Wine Tasting & Guided tour costs Rs. 600 per person ( Must Go ). This is 45 mins tour. Rs. 2000 - 3000 for two persons is enough to enjoy the tasting & guided tour, and eat at the restaurant & buy some souvenirs. How to Reach Sula Vineyard: You can book Uber or Ola from your hotel. But please note you won't get cabs in uber / ola while coming back. It's an outstation location, and it will be difficult to get a cab from there. There were Autos outside the Vineyard. Either you book a car for the whole day or take an Auto after the Vineyard trip. You spend 45 mins on a guided tour, spend almost an hour at the restaurant & spend 2 hours walking, chilling, and clicking pictures. If you have time & budget, stay @ Sula Vineyard Hotel for a unique experience. Should buy a few Wine Bottles from Sula Vineyard. Prices are less than Delhi. You can see the prices of the Wine in the Video. Buy some Sula Fridge Magnet as a souvenir from the Gift Shop. Once you are IN, first finish the registration for wine tasting & guided tour so that you can fix the time for that & plan accordingly. If you have time & a crazy wine lover do visit York & Soma Vineyards as well. These are very close to the Sula Vineyard.
