Vir erat in terra Hus by Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina (c.1525–1594), sung by the choir of St. Lawrence Church in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, a parish entrusted to the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter. The text comes from the opening of the Book of Job and is the Offertory of the 21st Sunday after Pentecost. It is one of the 68 five-voice Offertory settings Palestrina published in 1593, and it is an entirely original composition rather than one built on an existing melody. Recorded at St. Lawrence in January 2024. Music: Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina (c.1525–1594), Vir erat in terra Hus (Offertoria, 1593) Performed by: St. Lawrence Choir St. Lawrence Church, Harrisburg, PA – Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter (FSSP)
