The Girl KATSEYE Rejected Is Pop’s Next Superstar

In 2023, HYBE and Geffen went looking for the next global pop star. They found her, looked at her for about two weeks, and sent her home first. Three years later, her debut album went top five on the Billboard 200. So that went well for everyone. This video covers the ballet, the edit, the "difficult" reputation, the part where Grimes slid into her DMs, and why putting Adéla in a six-member girl group was always a bit like asking a lead guitarist to please play the triangle. For the record, I love KATSEYE. I just think someone on that show said "we see Adéla as a solo artist" and then everyone, including the people who said it, acted surprised when she became one. Would she have made KATSEYE better, or would the group have broken her? Comments are open. Be nice. Or don't, she'd probably prefer that anyway. #Adela #KATSEYE #DreamAcademy #PRIMA #PopStarAcademy #HYBE #PopMusic #VideoEssay #musiccommentary
