Exploring K'Gari w/BKO - Episode #1 Inskip Point / Lake McKenzie / Eli Creek

K'gari, formally known as Fraser Island, has a steeped and complicated history. We try to unravel some of that history while still taking in the beauty that is around every corner. K'gari is paradise for 4x4, backpackers and nature enthusiasts alike. The difficult thing for K'gari's rangers is managing the human impact on paradise. We as visitors need to make sure we treat the place with the respect it deserves. In Episode #1 we catch the ferry at Inskip Point over to southern tip of K'Gari. We then make our way along 75 mile beach up to the Dilli Village turnoff to get to Lake Boomanjin and Lake McKenzie. After taking the scenery and getting all the filming done we made camp on the beach just north of Eurong. The next day we woke up and made our way north stopping at Eli Creek and hanging with the backpackers for a bit. The second night we camped just north of Eli Creek. ** This is a repost from what was the Black Knight Offroad YouTube channel from late 2024.
