How to knit an afterthought thumb | Technique for fair isle or stranded mittens #knittingtutorial

In today's video I'm demonstrating using an afterthought thumb when #knitting mittens. The same basic premise can also be used for afterthought sock heels. This is a great technique to use when working with an all over pattern like stranded colorwork or to avoid disrupting a self-striping yarn.
